I bought the iLve IVFSM34X 31L Microwave to replace our existing iLve microwave that had stopped working and was out of warranty. When I realised the newer microwaves were a different size to previous models, I knew I'd have to also order a new trim kit. I checked with iLve directly (twice with 2 different representatives) that the was the correct trim kit. I was assured it was (this is in fact the only trim kit iLve do). THIS TRIM KIT DOES NOT FIT THEIR CORRESPONDING MICROWAVES. There is a large gap between the microwave and the trim kit. I called iLve to triple check this was the correct trim kit. They told me again it was. We have a very expensive kitchen and the microwave now looks ridiculous. We've had to fill the gap with a black rubber foam strip from Bunnings. I know the gap is not for ventilation purposes because our previous iLve microwave and trim kit fitted perfectly flush with no gaps at all. I wouldn't recommend iLve to anyone and only kept the product as we have an iLve oven so wanted to keep the kitchen appliances matching. Do not waste your money on iLve appliances.
