Don't buy - poor quality
Just used for less than 2 weeks. And the main control board is at fault. It would take forever to get to the Westing House support.
Hopeless beyond words
I bought two of these to use for our small accommodation business. They are beyond disappointing. Dry cycles can take easily 3 hours. You only have the "extra dry" option (full sun picture) on only about 3 cycles in total, but unless you activate it, the load comes out damp. I therefore use the "Cotton" cycle (allowing full dry) on all resort linen, but EACH load comes to 3.25 hours! Washing now takes me all day.
The drain you can connect to the moisture collector does not seem to work at ground level, so I have to manually empty that on every load. When I go to start the next cycle, it has automatically shut itself off, so I turn it on again, and it tells me the cycle has ended, so I need to turn the dial somewhere else to return again to the "Cotton" cycle, and reselect "full dry" all over again.
It had a nervous breakdown with my large synthetic dog blankets yesterday, and I put one through three cycles before it even approximated dryness (on 3 separate cycle settings, none of which worked well... I tried synthetic, blanket, then went back to cotton or else I could not select "fully dry" which it didn't do anyhow).
I know it's not a problem with the singular machine, because we bought two, and they both behave the same way.
We previously had only roadside collection driers (a startup accommodation business is not "cash flush"), and BOY am I missing those beat up old darlings. They would turn around a cycle in half an hour with sensor dry so everything was perfect. We saved a lot to buy these two lemons, and honestly, they do Westinghouse's very fine name a very great disservice.
I am also not sure if the energy rating is all it's cracked up to be. It's based on using a cycle setting which simply won't work with my linen (or it comes out damp). Our actual energy use is probably higher, given that I always need to choose the next level of dryness up (and even then, it doesn't seem to be fully dry).
The only good thing about the purchase was the AWESOME installation team. Charming, efficient, great personalities who did Appliances Online proud. Thanks for choosing such good staff, folk. But perhaps stop stocking this model.
I should finish by saying I have not read the manual. There may be something I'm missing which is leading to this level of catastrophe ... but how hard can it be to select a cycle which produces a "dry" result in under 3 hours, right???
I'm going to hit the roadside collections again. ;)
