Three elements better than four.
We replaced our excellent 20yo Fisher Paykel (made in NZ) ceramic cooktop with this one, only because an ant shorted the control panel, and parts are v. expensive or N/A. We chose element rather than induction because we have a big diameter pan and the W. offers a very large dia element that is simple to use (compared to trying to link active induction areas). And much cheaper and simpler to repair if necessary.
The three hotplate option allows MORE power to the big burner than the 4 hotplate model! The added space also allows the bigger hotplate element. No one we know uses 4 elements at once on a 600mm cooktop as there is simply not enough room for four medium pots/pans. So that decision was v good.
The controls are simple & it heats up faster than our previous cooktop.
There's also an extractor fan control switch but we don't have a Westinghouse fan, so ....
Our only negative observations are that the W. seems harder to clean with Cerapol than the F&P was; and we miss the smooth F&P flush frame which sealed the grunge-catching gap between cooktop & benchtop.
