Defective out of box and no resolution
Installed our rangehood and it instantly failed on the high speed setting. Been given the runaround somewhat but finally got a technician out who confirmed that it was a misaligned motor which was defective from factory. However that is the point where everyone went silent with no one willing to replace or repair the rangehood which they have confirmed was defective. Very poor product and very poor service from appliances online.
Noisy but does the job
For a small unit this product is quite noisy. I found the latches that secure the unit into the cabinet quite fiddly and difficult to adjust. Once in the unit worked as it should. Good price.
Powerful and sleek
We are very happy with our 52cm Westinghouse Undermount Rangehood for our new kitchen. It is invisible, has strong suction and bright lights. It can be noisy at the higher levels but we expected this (we also have too much ducting so that is probably not helping). Easy to access the filter to clean it. I haven't noticed the Hob2Hood function working but I haven't really looked into it (our cooktop is a F & P Induction so maybe it isn't compatible. It isn't hard to press a button so I don't care. Th eonly downside (which is true of any hood is the loss of functional storage space in the overhead cupboards so no fault of this product, just an observation.
