Not a necessary item
I bought this attachment with the view that it would make easy work of grating and slicing. It does, but also creates a bit of a mess and cleaning makes it a nuisance if you are only doing a small job. I have found the main thing I have used it for is coleslaw. It is a lot of money for what it does and I would think twice before buying.

I love how the processing unit just goes on seamlessly to the Cuisine Companion and straight into the bowl for easy cooking. A really good system overall.
