WORTH THE EXTRA $
I love this kettle! I purchased to replace a previous Smeg kettle. The temperature control is fantastic as our household switches between coffee and tea through the day. The keep hot feature is useful as it allows you to switch on the kettle, unstack the dishwasher then the water is still at correct temp. to make your coffee after unstacking. Yes, the price is on the high end, but for something that is used 10 times + a day, it pays to have a functional and good looking kettle. I highly recommend this kettle.
Poor quality
The lid hinge broke after use of 2 years I contacted Smeg for repair, it was outside warranty time. I called local repair centre and they said to me- they don’t repair kettle.
It’s useless now. I regret buying it.
