The Flex Zone was the appealing function to this cook top. Annoyingly, the Flex Zone keeps switching off and on. Even when it finally registers the size of the pan it will revert to default when the pan has remained in the same spot. Don't get me started on using the timer.
Review of Siemens Cooktop - prior to installation
This unit appears to be well made, documentation is OK, it is multi lingual so it is hard to follow in some areas
Too Complicated - Give me Simple
You need a degree to work this out. Complicated instructions, I needed to go online to get more detailed information, and you need a lot of time to continually read the instructions. I went back into the store to get more instructions, some of my questions could not be answered.
It was made to look so easy, quick and ideal to use. I purchased a new saucepan set specifically to use on the cooktop, not a cheapie. It often shuts off because it can't contact with the base. Have to watch it constantly as it kept turning off. I had to keep moving it around to make contact. A small saucepan is too big for one panel and too small for two, so switched to Flexinduction but doesn't recognise the pan and shuts off. Too much hard work to cook a simple meal.
