Built in that came ina new build packed up so had to do homework. This fitted perfectly into space.

I have a Sharp 395EST microwave. It cost $279. The only microwave kit Sharp sell for this model is the M/N EBR39ST at $329. The Sharp website, (as well as Appliances Online and many others) suggest this kit for the my microwave, as well as several other Sharp models. But the wording used is that it's "compatible" and "suits". It is not stated that it FITS any particular model. Check the attached picture. A trim kit should sit snugly against the microwave. Mostly a 1 to1 1/2mm gap all the way around between the microwave and the trim kit is achieved. I have done many trim kits, (having done over 500 kitchens). But as the picture shows, the gap varies, (be aware that I haven't taken the white protective film off the trim kit), with 1mm at the bottom, 10mm at the sides and 8mm at the top. Very poor. So yes, the microwave works with the trim kit, just with really large gaps. What is the point? I haven't checked this particulat kit against other Sharp models listed, but my feeling is that for economy sake, Sharp have taken the lazy way out and just listed several microwaves for which the kit is "compatibile" and "suits". Upon reading the web page and enclosed instructions, nowhere is it said that it "fits". Because in the case of the 395EST it clearly doesn't! And as i have taken the kit out of the box, I'll be hit with a 20% restocking fee. Just gets better.

Read the measurements on the instruction sheet carefully. The opening measurement shown on the diagram is different from the actual size written in the dimension further down on the sheet. I gave the diagram plan to the Cabinet maker to make and height turned out to be too narrow to fit the trim kit. I hope to modify to fit.
