Panasonic UB820 4K player
Absolutely brilliant machine. Solid, well built, quiet and loads super quick . Both picture and sound are both amazing too.
Ver very good BLU-RAY 4K UHD player
The unit plays disks well. It is especially good at upgrading Blu-Rays to simulated 4K. The remote control is easy to use. It's my first 4K UHD player, so I can't say how it compares to others. Independent reviews rate it as the best unit available in AU. I have a big screen projector, and it's like being at a cinema. The picture quality is quite breathtaking depending on the disk (try The City of Lost Children), with excellent detail and picture depth from foreground to backgound. So I am very pleased with the unit.
However the real story about my purchase is this: the unit seemed to be faulty (some disks played badly, or wouldn't load). I rang AO and they said to ring Panasonic. Both Panasonic and AO were most helpful; they communicated co-operatively with each other and two weeks later (when new stock arrived) I received a replacement. AO have always been most responsive when any problems have occurred, which is one reason I continue to shop there. The other is that cartage is included, and they take the old unit away.
Best value UHD 4K blu-ray player you can get!!
Great features, and quality you come to expect from a Panasonic brand. They really do make the best blu-ray players around. Upscale with the HCX chip make playing dvd and 1080P Blu-ray in 4K TV awesome. A must for those still have some older blu-ray/dvd mediums that had not been released in UHD 4K yet. If all you have is UHD 4K medium, the cheaper DP-UB450GN is good too, but lack the upscaling from the lack of HCX chip.
