How good is this
Unpacked in a matter of seconds and then installed it in my pergola I’ve only used the heat function in this cold weather we’ve been having and it’s working great. Can’t wait for the summer to come. Exhaust ductwork needed a little extra work as there’s no windows. Love it.
Louder than a jet
Bought this for a cheaper option to heat the living room of my sharehouse. While it does an ok job of heating up a room, the volume of noise it makes when running in heating mode is intolerable. It was so noisy that we have decided not to run it in the lounge anymore as we cannot hear the TV over it. If you buy this for the heating capability, please be aware of this major pitfall.
There is also no fan speed options for when you are in heat mode, so it is always running on max fan speed.
Thoroughly disappointed with this product, and unfortunately I cannot return it now so i am stuck with it. Hopefully the air conditioning function is less noisy but i am doubtful.
Hopefully beat the gas price rises
The Portable AC does a good job in cooling so far, as we have not yet tried the heating but hopefully it will reduce the need for runnibg the ducted gas heating. Regarding the cooling, it is easy to use but the fan is a bit noisy when in cooling mode but is fine when just in fan mode. The noise is acceptable but would be nicer if it were quieter,
It is very easy to move around from room to room as needed. Overall I would recommend this unit.
