I was a little apprehensive at first with our new freezer as it was considerably larger than our old one and certainly much taller. We actually thought that if we could afford to fill it we would never be able to reach the top level drawers in any case. After realising that we had committed ourselves, we went to the bank and withdrew most of our super to fill the freezer and then went to Ikea to purchase a small ladder so that we could easily reach those top shelves. It wasn't long before we became aware of how effective and efficient the freezer is, as we found that if we set the controls to -30 Degrees and left the door open a bit then we didn't need to use our AC unit on those recent hot days in Newcastle. It was a real bonus for us as we initially thought that we would just use those top drawers to store extra blankets and spare clothes. Your Staff were absolutely fantastic but I don't think that they thought we were serious about the blanket storage bit. Overall, we are really pleased with our new freezer and will return to Winnings for future purchases but I do think that the freezer will outlast us as we are approaching 96 years now. Thanks for the opportunity to write this and look forward to seeing you all soon.☺
Too short power lead.......
We have this unit assembled with it's brother fridge. We have it recessed with cupboards around built to Liebherr specifications. GPO located at the same height as for the previous fridge, 170cm from the floor so you can reach from the top cupboard as recommended. The issue with both the Liebherr fridge and freezer is that both power leads are so short we cannot plug in before pushing into the recessed space, can't put the GPO lower as the power lead plug is straight out from the wall and not 90deg down so the units will not go flush with the cupboards fronts. I have moved the GPO slightly down but still not enough to plug in before pushing into the recess, but having to tie a string to the leads and fish them up from the top cupboard...pain in the neck. It only needs 300m longer but 500mm would be awesome (our SMEG unit had heaps more lead. Otherwise I strongly recommend this brand.
Solid, nice lines, excellent
We researched a lot prior to our purchase. This freezer was the best value for money and we really like the set out, the drawers and the size - it looks well made and was packed extremely well. Compared to others on the market, it was a little more expensive, but much more 'bang for the buck' as they say. Cheaper freezers look cheaper - this is engineered and every facet looks well thought out and solid. Very happy with our purchase.
