Amazing monitor and perfect size
After hearing complaints from friends that 32" wasn't big enough and 48" felt too big, I went the 38 and I'm very happy with the choice. I'm a web developer and it perfectly fits two editors, a project explorer and my terminal/version control side by side, or a good sized browser and inspector side by side. It doesn't feel like you're losing sight of what's on the screen either.
The 144hz is very satisfying, once you go high frame rate it's hard to go back.
Smaller bezels/more luxe design would be nice, but it still looks good and feels sturdy.
The only criticism I have is probably on the Apple side - it's certainly not as sharp as the ultra fine displays/retina iMacs. As far as I understand this is an issue with Mac OS not treating the screen as retina, hopefully that can be solved in the future or by using software. Either way I'd take the aspect ratio of the 38" over the crispness of the Ultra Fine.
