Almost a 5 star fridge
Should've had 4 small door trays instead of only 3, other than this - very happy with my new fridge
Nice shelves, but terrible fridge.
Just had our first one replaced. The first one was not able to maintain satisfactory temperatures. The technician blamed a slow coolant leak. Electrolux/Kelvinator wanted to haul it back to the factory, but to their credit agreed to a replacement.
The brand new replacement fridge is even worse. Struggling to keep the fridgerator area to 6-8 degrees, and ice cream is soft. I have tried adjusting the temperature controls systematically, over several days, but they have little/no effect.
Other reviews have people replacing this model several times before they give up on the model (and probably the Kelvinator brand in general).
I suspect Electrolux/Kelvinator knows this model is a lemon, by design. I don’t understand why they don’t withdraw it from the market completely.
Sad because the cabinetry and shelves are great. But the cooling system and controls are just not fit for purpose.
Buy something else.
