no longer working after 2 years
Have had this kettle for just over 2 years, so it is 2 months out of standard warranty, and it will no longer turn on. Given the price of these kettles one would expect a longer lifespan. Having said that I love the design and the size, now if only it worked.
Stunning design let down by attention to detail
I was after a new kettle that was look good, plus have some 'smart's built in to it. The Jacqueline seemed to have it all. The timer function was great, rather than having to have a bulky HomeKit or Google power adapter.
I ended up sadly returning this as when the unit would boil, steam would leak from the lid. I can see this was attempted to be addressed with a silicon seal, however this did not work. As someone who loves a super hot cup of tea, this is a complete let down.
It's quite a shame, but I value my hand not being steamed and burnt over a smart kettle.
Looks gorgeous; a bit clunky
I love the look of this kettle, and that it is relatively small and can be lifted from the top. It boils quickly and I like the display showing the temperature and how much water is left in the kettle. I didn't have much success with the bluetooth technology; there seems to be a time zone issue with the app. The lid is the main reason I gave it 3 stars for build and value - the steam from the boiling kettle escapes through the lid and could burn someone holding the handle. The catch doesn't work fully unless I give it a flick after opening so it will close properly. So other than a couple of niggles, I am pretty happy with this kettle.
