doesn't heat well enough and takes too long
It doesn't heat well enough, and even on the highest level, it gives you a slow-cooked slice of bread rather than a crispy outside. I submitted a complaint to the customer service because as the months go by, it's taking longer and longer. Absolutely useless appliance.
Toaster bites.
Do not buy this. The cooking control is rubbish, on 1 it doesn't cook, on inched only just over 1 it burns the toast. On 2 it probably opens a portal to the underworld. I've never tried because I don't want my kitchen to catch fire. The extra lift isn't high enough to reach smaller pieces of toast. The metal flanges on the slots catch at the toast, so when attempting to rise the toast often gets torn and bent. I am over it. I've burnt myself one too many times wrestling with this malicious gadget.
Not good
One row of elements stopped working so now only 2/3rds of the bread is toasted. There is no positive "click" when you reach the bottom with the lever so you don't know how hard to push before engaging. The darkness setting needs to be on maximum for normal toast (not brown). Cancel button on the bottom is poorly placed.
