A good slow cooker
We previously had a Breville slow cooker for twenty years and one of the buttons broke, so we purchased the newer model which we have used a number of times and it works well.
Everything I Need in a Slow Cooker
Very easy to use, cooks evenly and within time frame of recipes. Love the Warming control, and the ease of changing the times required for cooking on Low or High. The external body gets very hot to touch so be careful of surfaces when appliance is ON cooking. Internal body very easy to clean and the oval shape allows large bones for soups & stews. I would recommend this if you aren't looking for a browning element included... I'm happy to brown in a frypan first if & when required.
Slow Cooker Fan
This slow cooker has features that suit me perfectly, including the medium setting (not just low or high). I love the way this slow cooker goes to the warm setting after the slow cooking time is complete. This helps if I am late home - I know the food will stay warm. Being able to set a longer or shorter slow cooking time is great, in fact just being able to set a timer is great because if you happen to forget you set the slow cooker going (for some reason), the slow cooker will turn off at the right time and switch to warm for a period of time and then switch off. Without this feature, the food would just continue to cook and spoil if you forget to turn the slow cooker off at the right time. This slow cooker doesn't sear food, but from reviews of slow cookers that claim to sear food, it appears they don't do it very well. I love slow cooking and I am impressed with this slow cooker.
