I'm glad we changed from a F&P dishdrawer to this.
Coming from an 8-year-old F&P DishDrawer, I absolutely love this Bosch SMU6HAS01A dishwasher. It cleans better (even on the 60-minute quick cycle) and dries better too (including plastics).
The only downside compared to a dual DishDrawer is that when a cycle is running, there’s nowhere to put dirty dishes. But in every other way, this Bosch is a huge improvement.
What really surprised me is that one Bosch cycle uses about the same water and energy as a single DishDrawer, yet it holds around 2.5x more and cost about $1,000 less.
I nearly didn’t buy it because of some of the negative Series 6 reviews online. Very glad I did.
Very quiet dishwasher
Very happy after the first week of use. This machine is very quiet, cleans well and has good options for wash cycles. It uses a cutlery basket rather than a tray, and it has good height in the top level for wine glasses. I really like the minimalist exterior and hope it lasts as long as our last Bosch dishwasher! The AOL prices and service are also excellent- I would definitely use them again.
Works well but it's noisier than I expected
I've owned this dishwasher for a few weeks. It cleans the dishes however, I believe it is noisier than the series 4 Bosch that I had owned previously. I'm often checking/rechecking that items aren't touching the spinning arms (theyre never touching) because it sounds clunky.
The eco wash takes more than 3 hours to finish, the series 4 was 20-30 minutes faster for the same cycle.
