Great washing machine, lousy dryer!
The washing machine works a treat, but the dryer is close to useless. It takes 2+ hours to dry, and the cloth comes out still not dry and totally crushed and crumpled, regardless of the load size. Even using a 20-minute quick dry will totally crumple the fabric. Unbelievable that Choice rated this model 5-star, raving about how good it supposedly performs wash and drying cycles. If you need your clothes ready to wear after drying, then give this model a miss unless you love ironing.
Loving it
Went from a Miele washing machine and no dryer to this model. The Bosch washes just as well in half the time, and the drying function works seamlessly - dirty towels to clean fluffy towels in 3hrs with zero effort! Dried clothes come out more wrinkled than I would like, but I think that's more about drying in general (and learning how to do it better) than anything specific with this model
Best purchase
I love love this washer/dryer. It's relatively small and VERY quiet. So quiet that the first time I used it, I had to double-check that it was actually running. I love that I don't have to take my clothes out of the washing machine and load them into the dryer. I usually use a 40-minute washing cycle and a 2-hour drying cycle, and my clothes come out clean and dry. The drum stays dry, so you don't have to leave the door open to prevent mold like you do with regular washing machines. You don't need to empty a container where water accumulates how you do with regular heat pump dryers - this machine disposes of water itself. Everybody keep saying how washer/dryer combo machines are not reliable, but I got a 5 year warranty, and this is good enough for me. I'm surprised by how much joy this purchase has brought me
