Replaced a Blanco recirculating rangehood
This is a great upgrade for us. It's more powerful, quieter and we now have it externally vented. I made my rangehood cabinet to fit which I ordered through goflatpacks (great service). I should have left slightly more clearance (maybe 2mm) at the top of my cabinet and at the bottom to make installation easy. A tip for DIY installers: be precise with your installation of the plastic mounting clips, as this will make putting the unit in the cabinet much easier. And: make sure your cabinet has easy access to the switch even after you install the raneghood (I made a mistake with that). A template and instructions comes in the box. Also, I note in the pictures online that Bosch show the rangehood slide out being positioned under the cabinet, but I had no issues mounting it flush, which I think looks nicer. I also purchased a flexible flu/vent kit from Appliances Online, which didn't come with any instructions but seemed to work well enough. There seemed to be more than one way to do make the connection at the rangehood end. I vented it about 5m away and at the wall but the flow of air is fine.
Awesome product
My Bosch 60cm slideout rangehood has been a brilliant addition to our kitchen. It is much quieter than our previous rangehood and does a great extraction job.

This Bosch rangehood works brilliantly. Quiet, effective and sleek. The installation was easy, as long as you want it undermounted, which is how it's designed.
