Bosch DLN54AA70A Rangehood Fire Hazard
Safety Warning: My Bosch Serie 2 Rangehood (DLN54AA70A) caught fire on April 26, 2025 while only the light was on - no cooking or fan use. The fire destroyed my kitchen, caused $82,000+ in damage, and left me displaced for months.
Forensic Proof: An independent investigation confirmed an electrical fault in the rangehood caused the fire (FEMAR Report 20250430-02). Additionally, Fire authorities verified these findings.
Bosch's Failure: Despite clear evidence, Bosch has:

Quiet and Effective
Much quieter than the Fisher & Paykel rangehood it replaced. Easy installation
Sooooooo loud
Really disappointing purchase. Chosen because of the low noise level quoted, this is the loudest rangehood I have used or owned, generating noise far above the quoted DB range. Bosch visited to check - issue unresolved and since this only two of three speeds work. Do not recommend. Have had the expense of purchase and install only to find this is louder than our existing rangehood had been.
