Simple and sturdy
Love the drawers for the freezer. So easy to organise. A simple fridge, just what I wanted. Don’t need the wifi connection. Don’t use it. There is no “place” dedicated to ice. We use the top left drawer with a plastic tub for ice. You have to make your own ice which is what I wanted but it’s kinda hard to get the ice tray into the drawer when the tray is full of water for risk of spilling. Then opening and closing the drawer risks further spillage. Not easy but workable. A shelf here with a tub for ice might have been a better design choice.
Great service
The price of this fridge was quite competitive but what most convinced me, apart from the qualities of the fridge itself, was the service offered by Appliances on Line. The unit was despatched as promised on the day following the order being placed. Unfortunately, the delivery truck broke down and the delivery for that day was cancelled. AOL kept me informed at all stages and the delivery was rescheduled for the following day (Saturday). It was easy to track where the vehicle was and when it would arrive. It was unpacked, installed and set up without fuss. My only complaint about the fridge is that I would have liked more optional positions for the door shelves.
Build/doorseal-hinge quality issue
Bought this firdge based on good reviews and assumed Bosch brand and German build would be super good quality - in under 6 months the inside interlock flap that seals the fridge between the two doors completely snapped off. Quite surprised how the hinges and attachment to the doors are small pieces of flimsy plastic. Hoping it will be repaired... But overall not quite sure about the quality of the single most used component - door/hinge/seal.
