Generally does the job but depends on application
Cleaner is well designed and solid. It is easy to use. Effectiveness of the product depends on the application. It cleaned fabric kitchen chairs and lounge chairs well. It also removed old pet stains from carpet well. However it was not that successful cleaning other general traffic stains on light carpet. I have found it best to use the formula in the first pass and then run a second pass with clean water in tank .. a lot of dirt still comes out doing this. Suction is OK but could be stronger. Hose is a little short in some applications. Overall the cleaner is satisfactory for my needs.
Great for household use
Bought to clean lightly soiled mattress. Also used to clean car after carsickness incident. This unit is a perfect size, not tiddly but not too large and heavy to move about with ease. Powerful enough for domestic use, easy to put together and to clean after use. Didn't work actual miracles on old stains, but it got pretty close and mattress now looks and feels clean, marks only visible in strong light.

I’ve been using the BISSELL Hydrosteam for a few months now, and it’s honestly one of the best cleaning gadgets I’ve bought. It’s compact enough to store easily, but powerful enough to lift out tough stains from carpets, rugs, and even car seats.
