Quiet and small
Very quiet in use. Small profile great for the cupboard space it frees up. Not the strongest air flow but is being used in a recirculating system and is fine for our purposes.
Serious design flaw. DO NOT BUY.
Power cable running from light switch to main control box is not secured, meaning that it falls onto the 40W incandescent light bulb. This will eventually lead to the insulation melting and exposed wires.
This design flaw could have been avoided had the manufacturer spent a bit more time thinking this design through, and subsequently spent a few extra cents on some clips built into the housing and a shroud to separate the light bulb from the rest of the rangehood's interior.
I don't blame Appliances Online for this, as they're not electrical safety inspectors and they took the Australian electrical safety approval in good faith. I blame Artusi's importer for bringing this garbage into Australia and the regulator for not doing their job properly by keeping this garbage out.
Note that this is the second Artusi rangehood I've had a problem with; the first one was shipped with an unsafe power lead.
Works well but very noisy
I was happy with the extraction capabilities of this product. However, the noise drove me crazy. Have since replaced it.
