Died after just 2 1/2 years of light use.
The first one didn't work properly and had to be replaced. The replacement only lasted 2 1/2 years of light use. It was supposed to be one of the quietest, but in practice it rattled and throbbed like something wasn't quite right inside. It might have Italian design quality, but 2 1/2 years is a shockingly short lifespan. Not impressed. Won't be buying DeLonghi again.
Very efficient dehumidifier
I was amazed at how quickly it pulled water from the room - it was actually quite shocking! The reservoir is easy to pull out to empty, and to replace; removing the filter to rinse was also easy. It is slightly quieter than we expected and I don't think it would be a problem to sleep with it in the room. (We haven't done that yet as the weather turned hot and dry as soon as we bought it!)
