I bought this a month ago, installed it myself. It easily cools the entire 30m2 living/kitchen/dining area, struggles to reach the 3 bedrooms, but definitely performs to spec. Very happy with best price & fast service from Appliances Online, purchased 8pm deviled next day 10am (Brisbane).
Not the best looking box that I have seen, but great that it fitted the same dimensions as our previous box space, so no modifications needed. Easy to install. Easy to use, but energy rating is not the best with so much technology around. More expensive to run than the last one we had installed 10 years ago.
From the moment we self-installed this unit we were thrilled with its performance. It cools ever better than we hoped. It is a horror to self-install as the instructions are minimal and confusing - even to a handyman!
we bought the aircon about a month ago works very well . we have had some 40 plus degrees days and this aircon does a great job . have not even had to run it on full yet as it gets cold enough . have not yet used the heating side yet but I'm sure it will deliver in winter . well built runs nice and smooth very pleased great value .
I've always bought kelvinator but very disappointed with the product. Only lasted two and a half years and the electronic boards gave up and thus left me with no a/c. I'm a single parent and couldn't afford to replace it for another a/c. My last kelvinator a/c gave up working after nearly 25 years.
This big Kelvinator has surpassed my expectations. Since installing it a few weeks ago temperatures have gone up to the mid thirties and it has kept the house cool even though the area is considerably larger than recommended. It's not too noisy and it's easy to use. If there is any complaint it is that the installation instructions, which cover various other models are not as clear as they would be if they were specific to the unit.
What a great air conditioner. We have a large living space and this unit cools and warms to perfection.
Buying this is the best thing I have done in a long time. I am really happy with the fact that I can now have a stable temperature in my house at all times summer or winter. Easy to install. Excellent product. Great price. Highly recommend.
Bought this 6kW box instead of a Split System for installation reasons. It's much noisier than expected and the fan never shuts off even when it reaches set temp. So if you want to hear your TV you have to cool the room then turn it off until it gets hot again and switch on again. Wish it would auto shut off and come back on when needed. Also the plug didn't fit in the wall so needed to have electrician install 15amp power socket on the wall which cost another ~$100.
Passes all expectations So good during this heat wave
Bought a couple of months ago. I had a smaller LG r/c before and it was fairly serviceable for the job. Whilst more powerful and it does warm the area well - this one has a some quite annoying issues. The fan is extremely noisy and too breezy in a smallish area even on its lowest setting. It should have one lower fan setting. Worse than that - the weather has been quite cold but the system cuts out quite a lot and/or blows cold air. I often have to unplug to reboot. As I said - annoying. The up and down vents tend not to stay in place if the fan is blowing too hard. I will continue to monitor. My main hope is that it handles the very hot summers.
Bought this to replace our 30 year old one, hope we get many years out of this one too.
This unit replaced an 18 year old unit, so we are pleased with the performance, so far. I have a concern with the build quality. The refrigerant servicing pipe seems to not have been sealed correctly. The normal procedure is to pinch and then solder the pipe. This ensures it is gas tight. This unit has been pinched only. When this was reported to the manufacturer's agent, the comment from the technical people was that if there was going to be a problem, it would have occurred by now. My concern is that if there is a slow refrigerant leak, the problem will only become apparent, after the warranty has expired.
